There’s quite a bit of information written on this wallet for Pte T Tunney’s Soldier’s Will form, which was returned to him in 1948, including details of his Class B Release, noted as ‘B Rel’. Men whose trades were in demand for postwar construction, such as bricklayers, could be demobbed early under this priority scheme. Also indicated is his posting to the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment in December 1945 ‘Change in Admin Beds and Herts’. HOME |
