Percy Wilson is featured at right, with two unidentified DLI friends in this 1947 photograph. Note his campaign ribbons, compared to the ‘rookie’ at left, who must have been a postwar national serviceman. Percy Wilson’s service certificate is below. It lists him as a POW from 1/3/43. My experience with War Office dates for the Battle of Sedjenane is that these dates are often arbitrary and at odds with Red Cross records and eyewitness testimony, and I believe this to be the case again here. The other entries on the certificate list his service in North West Europe (NWE), Homes Forces and Middle East Land Forces (MELF).
